AT-319m

AT-319m is created using slip-casting techniques with function added as a coin bank. The alphanumeric designation creates intentional distance between object and viewer, transforming the ceramic sculpture into a piece of equipment awaiting deployment within some larger systematic framework.

The work explores how naming conventions and classification systems fundamentally alter our relationship to objects and experiences. By adopting the language of technical specification, the piece questions the boundaries between art, tool, and commodity while maintaining connection to handcraft traditions through its ceramic medium.
